My areas of expertise include Private International Law, Estate Planning, Intellectual Property/IT Law, EU Consumer Law (Travel Industry), Banking Law, and International Financial Fraud. I benefit from a collaborative network across the EU, Norway, Andorra, Switzerland, the UK, the US, and China (specifically for IP/IT law) to support my work.

Academic and Professional Background

- I earned my Master in Law from Universiteit Antwerpen, Belgium (2006), and the University of Alcalá, Spain (2010).  

- I hold a Bachelor in Commercial Science & Business Administration with a focus on Tourism and Recreational Management from Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen (1997).  

- Additionally, I obtained a Dutch-French Bilingualism Certificate from the Chamber of Commerce of Paris (1996).  

Professional Affiliations and Certifications

- I am a qualified EU attorney in good standing, registered with OVB (Flemish Bar Association).  

- I am an active member of the Deutsch-Spanischen Juristenvereinigung e.V. / Asociación Hispano-Alemana de Juristas e.V.  

- I also serve as an official representative of the Flemish Community in Tenerife, in partnership with the Belgian Consulate.

- I am primarily based in Antwerp, Flanders (Belgium), and Málaga, Tenerife (Spain).

- I have expertise in Belgian civil law and private international law, focusing on cross-border estate planning solutions.  

- I possess knowledge of EU & Benelux IP/IT law and EU consumer law relevant to the travel industry.  

- I bring experience in Spanish real estate and civil law, assisting clients with acquisition processes and estate administration matters.  

- I am skilled in company formation and management of commercial contracts and disputes in Belgium and Spain.  

- I support clients regarding EU banking law, global UBO regulations, and issues related to financial fraud, including phishing strategies.

- I offer consultations both remotely and in person.  

- I am a native Dutch speaker and have proficiency in French, German, Spanish, English, and Portuguese, with basic knowledge of Norwegian and Swedish.
